once you're born into a family with problems, you only know what they teach us, what they show us - we dont get better in a vacuum - if nothing changes then nothing changes - it takes real bravery to change our behaviors once they're cemented into us - cowards dont change, it's easier to just cry than it is to change - our parents were usually doing the best they could, trying as hard as they could given what they learned from their parents but mostly they just did a fucked up job - the hard part is forgiving them and then slowly changing ourselves little by little - it hurts a lot but it's worth the little victories - Still, my heart goes out to those who give up.
